Workshop: "Interactive Workshop: Music Meditation Study"
Description: You are invited to participate in a music meditation study for Jeremy's doctoral dissertation. Volunteers must be over 18 and have maintained a regular meditation practice for at least 2 years. The session consists of two 15-minute meditations, the first in silence, and second with gentle music playing in the background. A set of questionnaires will be completed after each meditation. Feel free to bring your own cushion or mat if preferred.
When: Wednesday, May 21, 2025 from 5pm to 9pm (Workshop at 6:30pm)
Where: LoDo Studios, 216 E. Gutierrez Street, Santa Barbara, CA 93101
(Please only park across the street on the Office Max side of the lot.)
Members are Free to attend The District House evenings, and are prioritized when we reach capacity.

Facilitator: Jeremy Bieber, Musician & Consciousness Researcher
Jeremy Bieber is a guitarist, composer, and music producer based in Los Angeles. He has recorded and/or performed with Macy Gray, The Lettermen, Cristian Castro, Pia Toscano, Mumiy Troll, JJ Lin, Neff-U Feemster, and Jeff Chang. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in transpersonal psychology at Sofia University, Jeremy co-authored an article recently published in the Journal of Humanistic Psychology titled "Reorienting Through the Body: The Correlation Among Self- Transcendent Emotion Experiences and Interoceptive Awareness." His research interests include non-ordinary states of consciousness, healing frequencies, meditation, and the development of transpersonal music.
