Marquee Event Recap: Art & Psychedelics Provides Visionary Night of Creative Consciousness

On Saturday, November 16, LoDo Studios transformed into a living, breathing gallery of consciousness. ✨

The Art & Psychedelics Marquee Event brought together artists, visionaries, and seekers for an unforgettable evening exploring the deep relationship between creativity and expanded states of awareness.

As the sun dipped behind the Santa Barbara hills, District216 welcomed guests into a kaleidoscopic world of expression—where brushstrokes, beats, and breakthroughs intertwined.

🎨 IMMERSION INTO THE IMAGINATION

The venue pulsed with creative energy. Guests wandered between glowing installations, live paintings, and visual projections that danced across the walls.

🖌️ Robbie Goodell and Dave Zaboski painted in real time, channeling the energy of the evening into tangible form.

💫 Orielle Anaïs displayed powerful figurative oil works that celebrated feminine embodiment and reverence.

💨 The Breathing Chair by Jonathan Smith, Tai Rodrig, and Alan Macy invited attendees into mindful stillness—while the larger-than-life Big Peeps by UDOTAI sparked wonder and curiosity.

🌈 The space came alive with Michael Strauss’ transcendent visuals and Decelorator Lightsmith Visuals’ prismatic art direction, turning the night into a full-spectrum sensory journey.

🧠 THE PANEL: WHERE SCIENCE MEETS SPIRIT

Moderated by Kat Walsh, host of Trip On This podcast, the panel explored how psychedelic experiences can unlock creativity, connection, and healing through art.

Panelists included:

🎨 Orielle Anaïs — Painter & Sculptor

🧬 Marco Pinter — Founder of MindClay

🎶 JoAnn Kuchera-Morin — Media Artist & Composer

🌀 Carlos Grasso — Painter & Mixed Media Visionary

Together, they peeled back the layers of how art serves as a mirror for consciousness—revealing unseen dimensions of the human experience and bridging intuition with innovation.

🔥 FIRESIDE CHAT: THE TECHNOLOGY OF IMAGINATION

Following the panel, Dave Zaboski (former Disney animator and creative educator) and Sam Sharman (musician, artist, and mystic) shared a fireside dialogue about the Technology of Imagination.

They explored how art functions as a portal to spirit—and how creative collaboration itself can be a psychedelic act.

Laughter, insight, and warmth filled the room as their conversation reminded everyone that imagination isn’t a luxury; it’s the essence of being alive.

🎶 MUSIC • MOVEMENT • MAGIC

After deep discussion came embodied celebration.

As Blue Owl served up a nourishing dinner and guests sipped elixirs from our Functional Beverage Bar, the night blossomed into sound.

Torkom Ji guided the audience through a live frequency transmission, weaving analog warmth and 432Hz harmonics into a meditative soundscape.

💃 DJ Kat Walsh followed with a set of deep house grooves and ecstatic energy.

🎥 Visuals by Michael Strauss enveloped the crowd in color and motion—creating a multisensory dance between art, light, and vibration.

🌿 COMMUNITY & CONNECTION

Upstairs, the Rooftop Terpene Lounge offered space for connection under the stars. Guests shared reflections, laughter, and stories—artists mingling with healers, entrepreneurs with dreamers.

It was a night where creative consciousness met embodied community—where everyone, in their own way, became both artist and artwork.

🌀 A NIGHT TO REMEMBER

The Art & Psychedelics Marquee reminded us that art is medicine—and that when imagination meets intention, we all become co-creators in the evolution of consciousness.
