Self Introspection + Healing on Large Canvas: A Psychedelic Saturday with Bryan Siever
This past Saturday, we hosted something truly special at The District House — a sun-soaked afternoon that blended art, breath, community, and self-discovery in ways only District216 can.
Led by the incredible Bryan Siever of Foot Fourword, who specializes in facilitating workshops for individuals and small groups, this immersive experience invited us to explore our inner worlds and bring them vividly to life on canvas.
The July sun bathed the parking lot of LoDo Studios in bright light as we gathered to co-create. Easels stood ready, bright paints were laid out, and the group buzzed with anticipation after Bryan’s breath-work and mantra creation process set up our expectations. It was a perfect day to dive into self-exploration under the open sky.
We split into three groups, each collaborating on a large communal canvas themed around one of these natural themes: Fire, Water, and Space. As paint met canvas, each piece evolved into something wildly unique, psychedelic, and deeply expressive. It was incredible to watch strangers become co-creators, blending colors, and intentions into shared masterpieces.
Meanwhile, everyone also had the chance to paint their own smaller canvases — personal portals for private exploration and expression.
Indoors Bryan led us through grounding breath-work and a beautiful mantra-writing circle. Together, we paused, tuned inward, and let the power of conscious breath guide us deeper. This integration was a reminder of how meaningful it is to slow down, reflect, and connect with ourselves and each other beyond words.
This was more than an art workshop. It was a truly embodied experience; tactile, hands-on, creative, meditative, and deeply mindful. We explored emotional boundaries, personal history, and identity through color, texture, breath, and language.
As the afternoon came to a close, we left with some paint on our hands, some new friends, and hearts a little more open.
Big love and gratitude to Bryan Siever and Foot Fourword for guiding us through such a transformative day. And thank you to every soul who showed up ready to explore, create, and heal in community.
💜 Stay tuned for more unique gatherings at The District House — where art, consciousness, and connection meet.
