Sound, Intention, and Collective Release at The District House with Becca Solodon

This week at The District House, we gathered for a deeply immersive sound experience led by Becca Solodon, and the room was filled with a rare sense of collective presence. Every seat was taken, mats lined the floor, and couches held those who settled in for a journey that invited both rest and reflection. From the very beginning, the space felt intentional and held.

As the experience unfolded, Becca sang affirmations while simultaneously playing music live, weaving voice and sound together in a way that felt fluid and alive. Participants lay back with eyes closed, allowing the vibrations and melodies to move through the body. Though we were sharing the same room, each person seemed to be on their own inner journey, guided gently by sound while still feeling connected to everyone around them.

The gathering also marked a moment of transition. As we closed the Year of the Snake and prepared to enter the Year of the Fire Horse, guests were invited to write down what they were ready to release and let go of in the coming year. The affirmations Becca sang felt perfectly aligned with that ritual, supporting the act of clearing old patterns while calling in clarity, intention, and renewal.

The experience was grounding and expansive at the same time. It served as a reminder of the power of sound as a tool for reflection, intention-setting, and connection. More than a performance, it was a shared moment of presence and care, made richer by the collective energy in the room. We are grateful to everyone who joined us and to Becca for creating such a meaningful and resonant experience.
