Psychedelic Sensorium:  A Sober Journey Through the Subtle Senses with Hannah Jo

This past week at The District House, community members gathered not to sit and spectate — but to feel. Led by the radiant Hannah Jo, Sexuality & Embodiment Coach and host of many of District216’s most powerful live interviews, the evening’s interactive experience, titled “Psychedelic Sensorium,” invited us into an immersive, sober psychedelic journey that left everyone vibrating with connection.

From the first slide, Hannah set the tone for the evening with a clear roadmap:

  • Trinity of Awareness Meditation

  • Somatic Activation

  • Partner Practices

  • Community Reflections

And what followed was a profound, multi-layered exploration of embodiment, attunement, and interpersonal connection.

With Hannah’s grounded presence and expert facilitation, guests were guided through nervous system-friendly exercises that helped us feel safe enough to open — to ourselves and to each other. We breathed deeply, stretched freely, and tapped into subtle energy currents within the body and the space.

This wasn’t a talk about psychedelics. It was psychedelic — a direct transmission of expanded consciousness accessed not through substances, but through somatic and relational practice.

We partnered up for prompt-based interactions, explored platonic, consensual touch, and held each other’s gaze with reverence. Through it all, the room held a sacred softness — a collective agreement to be present, be curious, and be kind.

Whether integrating a past psychedelic journey or simply exploring the edge of vulnerability, attendees described the evening as “expansive,” “safe,” and “beautifully connective.” Hannah’s ability to blend Tantra, somatics, and transpersonal psychology created a container where each person’s experience felt honored.

“Psychedelic Sensorium” reminded us that altered states of consciousness aren’t always found in medicine—they can be accessed through the body, the breath, and brave human connection.

We’re endlessly grateful to Hannah Jo for holding this space with clarity, tenderness, and wisdom.

💜 Keep an eye on our calendar for more embodiment experiences and transformational workshops coming soon to The District House.
