Enchanted Moments: District216 at the Illuminate Film Festival

This past Friday, District216 had the honor of sponsoring a screening of Enchanted Matter: The Art of Robert Powell at the 2025 Illuminate Film Festival in Santa Barbara.

The film, a genre-bending journey through the Himalayas and Tantric Asia, explores the life and creative process of visionary artist Robert Powell. It was a powerful fit for our community—bridging mysticism, art, and consciousness in a way that felt deeply aligned with the mission of District216.

After the screening, our Chief Dreamer Jacob Tell joined a panel of fellow thinkers and creatives for a rich conversation titled “Re-Enchanting Our Modern World.” In a resonant moment, Jacob drew a thoughtful parallel between the psychedelic journey and the creative process itself—speaking to the importance of intention, set and setting, safe containers, and integration. Whether navigating an internal landscape or bringing visionary art into form, these frameworks offer structure and support for transformation.

We were grateful for the opportunity to connect District216 to the Illuminate community—an audience eager for conversations that go deeper. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, shared reflections, and welcomed us into this inspired space.

This was just the beginning. We look forward to future collaborations with the creative and consciousness-expanding communities we continue to meet.
