This week at The District House, our community gathered for a truly mind-expanding experience with Dr. Steven Roth, creator of The G.I.F.T. Shift™ and pioneer of Hypnosis-Assisted Ketamine Therapy (HAKT). The evening’s interactive workshop, “Hacking the K-Hole: Hypnosis Meets Ketamine,” explored how combining hypnosis with ketamine’s neuroplastic and suggestible state can help rewire old patterns, dissolve emotional wounds, and create lasting transformation.
Dr. Roth began by breaking down the science and spirit of HAKT—a therapeutic approach that uses hypnosis before, during, and after a ketamine session to deepen intention, anchor insights, and accelerate healing. He explained how ketamine opens a window of heightened neuroplasticity, while hypnosis provides the framework to reprogram limiting beliefs and integrate new ways of being.
Then came the experiential portion: a live 20-minute G.I.F.T. (Guided Imagination For Transformation) hypnosis journey. As Dr. Roth’s calm, rhythmic voice guided the group through visualization and breathwork, the energy in the room shifted. Guests reported feeling deeply relaxed, emotionally lighter, and profoundly connected—an embodied glimpse into the transformative power of subconscious work.
