Reflecting on an Evening of Earth-Based Wisdom with Speaker Shane Norte

This week at The District House, we were honored to host an insightful interview featuring Speaker Shane Norte, an Earth Based Practitioner and Spiritual Mycologist. The evening, centered around "Church of the People for Creator and Mother Earth / Wamkish Expressions," provided attendees with a profound journey into reconnecting with nature and fostering gratitude in daily life.

Hannah Jo, our talented interviewer, facilitated an engaging discussion that delved into the depths of Shane's wisdom. Her skillful questioning encouraged Shane to share valuable insights and sparked thought-provoking conversations among the audience.

Throughout the evening, Shane emphasized the importance of reconnecting with the Earth and embracing daily practices of gratitude. He reminded us that by staying present and mindful, we can detach ourselves from the fears of the modern world and find solace in the beauty of nature.

One particularly poignant moment occurred when an audience member raised the question of space exploration and the possibility of colonizing Mars. In response, Shane challenged us to reconsider our priorities. He questioned the logic of venturing to another planet when we have yet to fully care for our own. His words served as a powerful reminder of the importance of preserving and nurturing our home planet.

Shane's message resonated deeply with attendees, urging us to reflect on our relationship with the Earth and our role in its stewardship. And how these plant medicines and sacred sacraments can help remind us how to do this. As we left The District House last night, we carried with us a renewed sense of purpose and a commitment to living in harmony with nature.

Stay tuned for more enriching events at The District House as we continue to explore topics that inspire, educate, and ignite change within our community.

In gratitude, District216 Team
